That's why your home newspaper might not be the best way to go for international travel warnings. It probably won't give you nearly as much detail as you would get from a local newspaper in the country you are staying in. Though, if it's not in your language it doesn't really help. That's why websites like Interpress are extremely helpful. They are like an international version of the associated press. So you can get a first hand account of whatever incident, in your language.
