US State Department Travel Warnings are just that – warnings. This means that although the US State Department urges you not to go – the choice is still yours. Though, you should keep this in mind when traveling – the constitution is not a global document. There are lots of countries out there that do not proscribe to our way of life. So if you are in one these places where the US State Department has issued a travel warning keep a low profile. Also try to familiarize yourself with their laws or customs. If you break one of those laws while the US is at war with that country the punishment could be a lot more severe.
