March 23, 2007, Newsletter Issue #57: Bank On Default Insurance

Tip of the Week

Fine print can land you in a fine mess if you're not careful. It happens all the time with warrantees. People don't realize that if their super-expensive tv goes on the fritz a certain way they will be responsible for all of the costs. It's the same with trip insurance. It does cover a lot of things that could happen. However, bankruptcy of an airline, cruise line or tour-company isn't one of them. So if this is a concern for you look for a policy that contains supplier default insurance. Though, even if it is on your policy you still need to read the fine print. In some cases supplier default insurance will only insure certain travel companies.
